    Stock No DCC20100801006
    Product Name CD43-K1 GeoEAR Geophone
    Detailes CD43-K1 GeoEAR Geophone
    CD43 GeoEAR for hearing pigs

Simply put, the CD43 GeoEAR acoustic amplifier system allows a listener to hear extremely faint sounds at great distances using a geophone probe which is either inserted into the soil or placed in direct contact with the pipeline.

The GeoEAR has the ability to amplify the sound of an approaching pipeline pig's cups striking welds of a pipeline to an easily discernable level and under normal circumstances a pig can be heard approaching for miles.

    Features of the GeoEAR:

Hear pigs in pipelines up to ~2 miles away.
Separate volume control for speaker and headphones.
    Non-breakable pushbutton keypad interface.
    Rugged machined aluminum geophone housing
Durable Pelican carrying case with built-in 5" waterproof speaker.
GeoMute squelching circuitry to inhibit deafeningly loud sounds.
Auxiliary cable allows vehicle to power system.
    Headphones and geophone probe supplied.
System can be plugged into vehicle's sound system for easy listening.
As a system, the GeoEAR consists of a geophone probe, Auxiliary Power cable, the GeoEAR electronics and the headphones. All of these components fit conveniently into the GeoEAR's tough Pelican carrying case when not in use.

Using the system is a simple process of opening the carrying case and removing the geophone probe, inserting it into the soil near the pipeline and plugging it into the GeoEAR. If headphones are being used instead of the built-in speaker, the operator plugs them in and adjusts the headphone volume to his liking. Simple!

The GeoEAR can be powered from 4 D-Cell batteries or the included auxiliary power cable for use in a car's cigarette lighter.
